SyxthSense Prodion is a back engine application for retrieving, storing and analysing industrial type data such as production figures, building process data such as temperatures and flow values or energy consumption in buildings. Prodion provides central data repository and device management solution with distributed architecture support for SyxthSense WebBiter web-browser interfaces and SyxthSense metering products.

Prodion is typically used for AMR (automated meter reading) for retrieving meter date automatically with set intervals and storing it to secure SQL database for analysis and further operations such as tenant billing.

Prodion has built-in modules for highly sophisticated alarming and logging of any live value, regardless of the capabilities of the source system. The very advanced modular design of Prodion allows the current core functionality to be expanded in the future with new modules without the need for reinstalling the software package or converting databases.

Prodion is designed as a client/server solution with distributed data acquisition to a central Microsoft SQL Server database. For small and mid-size applications, the Prodion package includes the free Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Express edition
